Drum roll!!! As many of you have been waiting to hear, the ASA will be rolling out the Virtual Awards of the 2021 Australian Songwriting Contest, at 7pm on Sunday 30 October 2022.

This will be the first moment that the Top 10 results are revealed, along with the Rudy Brandsma Award winner, and other exciting things like the Regional Coordinator of the Year honor and the induction of Terry Britten into the Australian Songwriters Hall of Fame. In addition, one of our entrants will be crowned APRA/ASA Songwriter of the Year, which will be hugely gratifying for them!!!

Although the decision had to be made to do our Awards as a virtual event for the second year running – due to the threat at that time which omicron was making (and our total inability to afford the risk of a cancelled live event) – we would love you all to log in and experience the announcements together! We will put the link up on this homepage closer to the date, but you can certainly start inviting the family members and friends who you’d like to sit around your computers for the big unveiling! Get your own little house parties going😊. There will be people tuning in from right across Australia and the World! Last time we had over 1,000 different logins and hence many thousands of viewers, depending on the exact numbers gathered around each of those computers.

Let’s do it in a big way, and all breathe through it together!!!
